 Following on from the release of their critically acclaimed debut album in March 202's have been back down in Loop rehearsing for what looks likely to turn into a very busy live schedule. The band formed in early 2007 with the specific purpose of recording an album and from what the press have been touting, what an album!!! We've known the lads from a different incarnation but have to say we love the direction that their songwriting has taken for the 202's set.
Signed to French label Le Son Du Maquis, 202's self titled debut was released in france first in feb09 with the Irish release follwoing later on in March. The band have also announced that the album is set to be released in Germany with a limited edition becoming available in Japan later on this year.
Confirmed for Oxygen later this summer the band have started to fill in their tour diary and if you fancy seeing what is being tipped as one of the freshest acts to emerge from Ireland in recent years make sure to check them at one of the venues below.
